3 days 16 mapped stops PHP 6,000–9,000 / person all-in first-time visitors couples

Three full days are enough to see Marinduque without making every day feel like a forced island loop. Day 1 stays in Boac town proper for the walkable heritage core. Day 2 is a proper Santa Cruz and Maniwaya boat day. Day 3 stays on the east and south side for Poctoy, Torrijos, and Buenavista hot springs before the port run. Day 1 — Boac town proper heritage walk

Morning
  • Boac Cathedral
    Boac Cathedral 4.7
Brgy. San Juan, Boac · ~20 min

Start at the landmark church above town; 15-20 minutes is enough unless you are attending Mass.

  • Boac Plaza
    Boac Plaza 4.3
    Poblacion, Boac · ~15 min

The actual town-center anchor for the heritage walk, beside the old civic buildings.

  • Marinduque National Museum
    Marinduque National Museum 4.8
Boac Plaza, Boac · ~25 min

Small, useful context stop beside the plaza; plan a focused visit, not a long museum block.

Lunch
  • Casa de Don Emilio
    Casa de Don Emilio 3.7
Boac Plaza, Boac · ~60 min

Heritage lunch right by Boac Plaza, so the day stays walkable.

Afternoon
  • Boac Town Walking Tour
    Boac Town Walking Tour
Town Proper, Boac · ~45 min

Short loop through Mercader/Nepomuceno streets and the old-house cluster.

Dinner
  • Kusina sa Plaza
    Kusina sa Plaza 4
Boac Plaza, Boac · ~60 min

Dinner still in the plaza area, without a cross-town jump to Balaring or the coast.

Optional if you finish early
  • Cafe Mauro
    Cafe Mauro
Boac Plaza, Boac · ~30 min

Backup cafe stop in Boac town proper if the museum/walk finishes early.

💡 Stay overnight at any Boac hotel — see /explore?category=accommodation&municipality=boac.

Day 2 — Santa Cruz + Maniwaya boat day

Morning
  • Port of Buyabod — buyabod port
    Port of Buyabod 4.3
Brgy. Buyabod, Santa Cruz · ~30 min

Start early at the boat jump-off so the island day does not feel rushed.

  • Maniwaya Island — maniwaya island orig
    Maniwaya Island
Offshore, Santa Cruz · ~150 min

Main beach base for swimming, photos, and resort lunch options.

Lunch
Afternoon
  • Palad Sandbar — palad sandbar
    Palad Sandbar
Offshore Maniwaya, Santa Cruz · ~90 min

Best planned around low tide; this is the signature Maniwaya side trip.

  • Ungab Rock Formation
    Ungab Rock Formation 4.5
Mongpong Island, Santa Cruz · ~45 min

Separate banca add-on if sea conditions are calm.

💡 Confirm tide and banca timing before you leave the mainland. This day is awkward if you try to squeeze in Torrijos too.

Day 3 — Torrijos beach + Buenavista hot springs

Morning
  • Poctoy White Beach — Marinduques Poctoy White Beach
    Poctoy White Beach 4.5
Brgy. Poctoy, Torrijos · ~150 min

Mainland Marinduque's easiest white-sand beach, with Mt. Malindig in view.

  • Pulang Lupa Shrine
    Pulang Lupa Shrine 4.6
Near Boundary, Torrijos · ~30 min

Short historical stop near the Torrijos side of the route.

Lunch
  • Tabag's Place
    Tabag's Place 4.6
    Boac, Torrijos · ~60 min

Torrijos lunch before crossing toward the south side.

Afternoon

💡 This is the long drive day. Start at Poctoy early and leave room for the Balanacan Port transfer.

This loop covers the three first-visit anchors that show up consistently in tourism references: Boac heritage, Maniwaya and Palad Sandbar, and the Poctoy to Buenavista south-east run. If you have an extra day, add a dedicated Tres Reyes Islands boat day from Gasan.
