Why This Page Exists
We're keeping this entry visible for three reasons, consistent with how the Marinduque Guide handles ambiguous listings:
1. Honest directories help travelers. If you found Villa Anita in a Marinduque listing somewhere, you should also find a clear note that this isn't a confirmed-and-bookable tourist spot.
2. Local context. Villa Anita might be a private residence, a private rental coordinated through informal channels, or a colloquial nickname for another property. Without verification, the safest move is to be transparent about that.
3. A signal for follow-up. If you're a Marinduqueño with verified information about Villa Anita as a tourist attraction, the Marinduque Guide team welcomes the input.
What to Do Instead
If you're planning a Santa Cruz trip and Villa Anita appeared on your shortlist, alternatives with verified information include:
- Villa Atilana / Maniwaya Island Villa — beachfront villa for big groups, on Maniwaya - Villa d' Arco Resort — outdoor pool, garden, Brgy. Banahaw - Cavesera Residencia Farm and Resort — pool, free Wi-Fi, Brgy. Ipil - At Home With Kajea — modern two-story home, Punong
For specific contact channels, current pricing, and confirmed amenities, those four are reliable starting points.
A Note on Updates
The Marinduque Guide updates listings as new information becomes available. If you've stayed at, visited, or know the operator of Villa Anita as a real Santa Cruz attraction, we welcome the details directly so we can refine this entry.
Best Time to Visit
Dry season — November through May — for safe banca crossings. June through October the seas can turn nasty fast and crossings get cancelled mid-trip. If you must go in the wet months, plan with a buffer day on either side so a cancelled boat doesn't derail your travel home.
What to Bring
How to Get Here
Maniwaya is reached by banca from Buyabod Port in Brgy. Buyabod, Sta Cruz — that's the standard launch point. NOT Balanacan Port — Balanacan is the RoRo terminal where the Lucena ferry lands, on the opposite side of the island. Full route: Lucena → ferry to Balanacan → jeepney/van to Sta Cruz Centro → tricycle to Buyabod Port → banca to Maniwaya. Confirm boat pickup with your resort directly, especially with heavy luggage; the bancas are small and porters aren't standing by. Allow a full half-day for the trip from Lucena.
⚠️ banca only — book in advance
Local routes, fares, and ferry schedules can shift without notice — and travel times depend on weather, traffic, and tide. Confirm fares and timing with the driver or locals before you set out.
