A quick note from us before anything else: JL Bamboo Beach Resort doesn't have a Google Maps listing yet, so we haven't been able to check it the way we check most places on this guide — no verified pin, no Google reviews to lean on. A small resort on the Torrijos coast

JL Bamboo Beach Resort sits in Brgy. Makawayan, Torrijos, with its map pin right on the shoreline of our island's east side. The resort describes itself simply: "Crystal Clear Water Beach — Sunshine. If you want to relax, head to JL Bamboo Beach." It's a modest, local kind of place rather than a big resort, and that's part of its charm.

Rooms with a bamboo touch

The name isn't just for show. The room photos the resort shared in August 2026 show double beds on chunky bamboo frames, rooms lined with warm wood and bamboo paneling, and little lounge corners with plush heart-shaped pillows — simple, clean, and homey.

Picnics on the pebbles

It's also a picnic spot for the neighborhood. In one of its posts, the resort thanked the folks from nearby Brgy. Malibago who came over for a picnic day, and the photos show what the shore is like: a pebble beach, open bamboo huts for shade, and a bamboo raft floating on blue drums just off the water's edge.

Still active

In September 2026 the resort was at the 1st Marinduque Tourism Summit, sitting at the Torrijos table — a good sign it's very much open and engaged with the province's tourism push.
