About this place

Just above Buenavista's town proper, in Brgy. Timbo — the old Sanggulong, which sits right next to the poblacion — a working farm has turned its hilltop into one of the southern loop's nicest little stops. TIMBO Integrated Farm is a working farm first and a place to visit second, and the government has taken notice: the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) MIMAROPA counts it as a Learning Site for Agriculture.

A learning farm

That recognition is real. In February 2025, ATI MIMAROPA brought a learning tour to Timbo Integrated Farm "to observe innovative farming practices firsthand," and later that year announced it would feature the farm — one of only two Marinduque sites, alongside Kaluppa Foundation — in Agriventure Volume II, its guidebook to learning sites meant for farmers, students and tourists alike.

The view, the gardens, the sign

For most visitors, though, it's the hilltop. The road up through Timbo is known among cyclists for its winding climb and "impressive view of the Haynon Hills," and the farm makes the most of it: big, colorful "I ♥ TIMBO" letters face a wall of green mountains, beds of celosia and marigolds are outlined in bright green borders, and a red-floored viewing deck looks out over the valley. There are garden tables under the palms, little hand-painted quote stones along the paths, and a playground with slides and monkey bars, so the kids have their own reason to come.

What it costs

Entrance is ₱50, according to a 2026 Google review from Gemma Cortes, who summed it up as "maganda ang view" — the view is beautiful. Google lists the farm as a farm stay with a 4.5 rating, so ask about overnight options if you'd like to stay longer.

Good to know

There's no phone number on the listing, so message their official Facebook page (TimboIntegratedFarmOfficial) before a big group visit. The farm is a natural add-on to a southern-loop day with Mt. Malindig, Malbog Hot Spring and Buenavista's poblacion.

Best Time to Visit

Morning or late afternoon, when the light is softer on the mountains and the hilltop isn't baking in the midday sun. The flower beds look their best after the rains, but the climb up is easier on dry days — so a bright morning just after a rainy spell is perfect.

What to Bring

Small bills for the ₱50 entrance, a hat and water for the open hilltop, and comfortable shoes for walking the garden paths. If you're bringing little ones, a change of clothes won't hurt after the playground. And please take your trash home with you — it's a working farm.

How to Get Here

TIMBO Integrated Farm is in Brgy. Timbo, right beside Buenavista's town proper. From the poblacion, take a tricycle up the Timbo road and ask for the farm — the climb winds uphill with views of the Haynon Hills. If you're coming from Boac or Gasan, ride south to Buenavista town first, then head up to Timbo. Follow the Google Maps pin for the gate.
