🛏️Tabing Dagat Events Place

"Tabing dagat" simply means "by the sea," and this place takes the name literally. Tabing Dagat Events Place sits right on the shore along the national highway in Brgy. Mahunig, just south of Gasan town proper on the road toward Buenavista — a spot built for the big Marinduque gathering: reunions, club get-togethers and barkada weekends.

Built for groups

The centerpiece is a large, open-sided covered pavilion with a dark roof, surrounded by garden beds edged in green-painted stones and young coconut palms — plenty of room to set up long tables for a crowd. Recently it hosted the Gasan chapter of the Philippine Constabulary for a get-together, which gives you a sense of the scale it handles.

Cottages and the shore

Beside the pavilion stand two A-frame nipa cottages and a thatched open hut, and a stepping-stone path leads through a lattice fence straight onto the beach. It's a dark pebble shore, and the photos from the property show it at its best in the evening, with driftwood on the stones and the sun going down over the water.

Boats, too

On the roadside wall, next to the red "Tabing Dagat" banner, there's a sign advertising "Bangka for Hire!" — so ask about arranging a boat if you want to get out on the water during your stay.
