La Mer is rising in Sitio Quezon, Brgy. Balaring, on the Boac coastline — the same barangay as Balar Hotel and Spa and Marina Marinduque Hotel and Resort. The resort pitches itself as a serene escape for families, couples and travelers, "surrounded by crystal clear waters and breathtaking sunsets."
What it will look like
The "Soon to Open" preview the resort posted in June 2026 shows a two-storey row of modern rooms with wood-trimmed roofs, floor-to-ceiling glass and glass-railed balconies, air-conditioning units, and a landscaped front with lamp posts along a gravel drive — under the tagline "Your perfect getaway by the beach."
How far along it is
The page first posted "Construction in progress" back in mid-2025, announcing the resort as "rising soon in Brgy. Balaring." By October 2026 the team had moved on to getting ready for guests: staff went through Basic Life Support training, including hands-on CPR, first aid and the use of an AED. Opening looks like it's getting closer, but no date has been announced.
