🛏️Marikit-Na Beach Resort
About this place
On Sitio Central II, Barangay Maniwaya, Marikit-Na Beach Resort is one of Maniwaya Island's quieter, more peaceful options — a beachfront resort where the clear crystal blue water, white powdery sand, and beautiful sunsets do most of the work, and the property is built to let you enjoy them without much fuss.
The Setting
- Pristine clear crystal blue water - White powdery sand - Beautiful sunsets — the western-facing Maniwaya coast lends itself to this - Peaceful and tranquil escape
The framing here is intentional: Marikit-na (literally "Beautiful, isn't it?") leans into Maniwaya's natural appeal rather than competing on activity volume. For travelers who came to read on the beach, slow down with family, or work through a stack of books, this is the right pace.

What's Around
Marikit-na's Maniwaya address gives access to the standard island circuit:
- Palad Sandbar — boat ride, low-tide visit - Ungab Rock Formation — east coast of Mongpong, on the island-hopping route - Wawie's, Islas Moriones, Cozea — fellow Maniwaya resorts for cross-referencing options
Most stays here pair a quiet beachfront day with a half-day island-hopping run.
Why It Works
Among Maniwaya's resorts, Marikit-na holds the peaceful and quiet end of the spectrum. For travelers who prefer settling in over running activity-packed schedules, this is the property to know. Couples, small families, and writers/readers fit the brief especially well.
Best Time to Visit
Dry season — November through May — for safe banca crossings. June through October the seas can turn nasty fast and crossings get cancelled mid-trip. If you must go in the wet months, plan with a buffer day on either side so a cancelled boat doesn't derail your travel home.
What to Bring
How to Get Here
Maniwaya is reached by banca from Buyabod Port in Brgy. Buyabod, Sta Cruz — that's the standard launch point. NOT Balanacan Port — Balanacan is the RoRo terminal where the Lucena ferry lands, on the opposite side of the island. Full route: Lucena → ferry to Balanacan → jeepney/van to Sta Cruz Centro → tricycle to Buyabod Port → banca to Maniwaya. Confirm boat pickup with your resort directly, especially with heavy luggage; the bancas are small and porters aren't standing by. Allow a full half-day for the trip from Lucena.
⚠️ banca only — book in advance
Local routes, fares, and ferry schedules can shift without notice — and travel times depend on weather, traffic, and tide. Confirm fares and timing with the driver or locals before you set out.
