🏝️Crystal Blue Dive
Famous forMogpog's floating cottage with a built-in slide and diving board — Crystal Blue Dive at Gasgas Beach is the only spot in Marinduque pricing a literal dive into the menu.
About this place
Crystal Blue Dive at Gasgas Beach is the kind of place the name actually delivers on. The signature feature is a floating cottage with a built-in slide and diving board — not a metaphor. The rest of the venue builds out from there. It's on the northwestern Mogpog coast in Brgy. Guisian, sharing a shoreline with Guisian Cove Resort.
The Setup
Pricing tiers run from a standard cottage at ₱500 (life jackets included) up to the floating cottage with slide and diving board at ₱1,500 for 5 hours or ₱2,500 for the whole day. Entrance is ₱30 for kids ages 5–7 and ₱50 for ages 8 and above. Beach activities include paddleboarding, snorkeling, and casual swimming around the floating setup.
What to Know Before You Go
This is a small operation by design — no lifeguards, limited restrooms, no major food vendors nearby. Bring snacks or coordinate meals with the cottage rental. Parking is street-only, which can get tight on weekends and holidays. Keep an extra adult eye on swimmers near the diving board.
Where It Sits
Brgy. Guisian is one of Mogpog's western coastal barangays. Crystal Blue Dive and Guisian Cove Resort effectively share the same beach, so day-trippers basing here can split between both venues. From the Mogpog town center, a short tricycle ride. From Balanacan Port (the gateway ferry terminal), it's an even shorter drive south.
Worth Knowing
The floating cottage is the splurge that justifies the trip. Standard cottages are fine, but you'll be looking at the floating one wishing you'd booked it. Worth the upgrade if you're a group of four or more — the per-person cost works out reasonably.
Best Time to Visit
Weekday mornings get you the floating cottage with the diving board and slide mostly to yourself. Weekends are busy with local family bookings — show up before 9 AM if you want the choice spot. The venue closes at 6 PM, so plan for a half-day not an overnight. Avoid June through September peak storm windows unless the forecast is clear.
What to Bring
How to Get Here
From the Mogpog town center, take a tricycle west toward Brgy. Guisian — about 15–20 minutes depending on the road. Drivers know "Gasgas Beach" or "Crystal Blue Dive" or "Guisian Cove" — same shoreline, any name works. From Boac, take a jeepney or van north toward Sta. Cruz and ask to be dropped at the Mogpog poblacion, then tricycle to Guisian. From Balanacan Port (the gateway ferry terminal), you're close — about 15 minutes south by tricycle.
Local routes, fares, and ferry schedules can shift without notice — and travel times depend on weather, traffic, and tide. Confirm fares and timing with the driver or locals before you set out.
