About this place
On Zamora Street in Gasan — the same stretch that holds A&D Restobar and Mindoro's Best Fried Chicken — Monsan Brew has earned its quiet reputation as one of the town's most reliable café stops. It's a small operation that gets the basics right: good coffee, light food, reasonable prices, and an atmosphere that's hard to leave on a hot afternoon.
What Visitors Notice
Timmy Salcedo's review is one of the most detailed accounts of the place:
"I've been putting off on trying this shop. A quaint little shop. An oasis during this warm summer. I had a siphoned coffee and a sandwich. Both did not disappoint. Prices are reasonable. A surprise — they provided sanitary gloves! A perfect spot for drinks after a promenade on the baywalk. I will definitely drop by when I'm in town."
The takeaways from that visit:
- Siphoned coffee — the kind of preparation that signals real attention to the brew - Sanitary gloves for handling food — a small but unusual touch - A natural pairing with a walk along the Gasan baywalk before or after
What's on the Menu
Monsan Brew runs the standard small-cafe lineup with serious craft on the coffee side:
- Siphoned coffee and frappes - Sandwiches and light food - The kind of menu designed for people sitting longer than just a quick grab

Why It Works
Small coastal-town cafes often have to choose between comfortable atmosphere and doing the coffee right. Monsan Brew picks both. The siphon coffee setup, the reasonable pricing, the small touches like sanitary gloves — it's the kind of attention to detail that turns a café into a regular.
Best Time to Visit
Open year-round. Best to visit during mealtime rush for fresh supplies.

Once you arrive in Gasan, you may need to take a tricycle for the last stretch to reach your destination, as it may not be directly accessible by jeepney.
Local routes, fares, and ferry schedules can shift without notice — and travel times depend on weather, traffic, and tide. Confirm fares and timing with the driver or locals before you set out.

Cool place for a small island coffee shop. We just ordered drinks. A mocha frappe and a syphoned Sagada coffee. The service was just fine, they only have one person as a barista and a cook. I mean this place is island time and it should be that way. The people who come here are more of the young crowd. I would say I’d recommend it as they had the beans to brew a Sagada coffee. My only complaint is I wish they would open earlier just for coffee. Cuz 10 am is too late. Just my opinion.
