About this place
Marin Brew is the kind of place where the staff start your usual by the third visit. By the fifth they don't even ask. That's what locals end up mentioning when they recommend it.
The cafe opened in 2025 in Brgy. Tanza, a quick tricycle north of the Poblacion. It's a deliberate stop — you don't wander in from the cathedral or the heritage district. Once there, the setup is self-serve: order at the counter, sit, and they bring it over. Throws first-timers, but you have it by visit two.
What You'll Find
The drinks are why most regulars come back. The Iced Shaken series is the everyday go-to — espresso shaken with ice and sweetener — and the Biscoff Series is the one most people try first because of the cookie crumble on top, though the version that earns repeat orders is whichever signature cold brew is on the board that week. They rotate. On the matcha side they take it seriously, and they'll happily do oat milk substitutions if you ask. Frappes are on the menu year-round if you want something dressed up.
The food is the part that surprises first-timers, because the menu is wider than a cafe label usually suggests. Beef tapsilog and the other silog plates come with soft-boiled eggs and a generous portion of garlic rice. The aglio olio with garlic bread is a regular's order, and the lechon kawali plate is the kind of portion you'd want to share with someone. There are hand-formed burgers, fried-chicken silogs in the morning, and sizzling plates if there are two or three of you sharing — beef, chicken, ribeye depending on the day.
The Vibe
People sit and stay for hours. The cafe's online reviews tend to run long for a reason — one regular's review is literally titled "a love letter to Marin Brew." After a few visits, the phrase doesn't sound like an exaggeration. The seating is laptop-friendly, the music plays low, and the staff don't rush you out.
A Heads-Up
If you're substituting milk because of a dairy intolerance — oat for full cream is the common one — ask once more at the counter before the cup leaves their hands. Orders do sometimes go out wrong. They fix it fast when you flag it. Easier to head off than to send back.

Googleordered a beef tapa rice meal and matcha latte sub oat. gave me the wrong cup of full cream milk which upset my stomach. they replaced it naman after i went back to the counter. as for the rice meal P255 - garlic rice + one spoonful mixed veggies side (buttered carrots, corn 🤣🤣🤣) P175 - plain rice, no mixed veggies. so you pay 80 pesos for garlic rice and cheap “mixed veggies”? what an absolute joke. they dont tell u what exactly the mixed vegg are upon ordering too. also, my friend ordered burger w fries. look at that serving size my man. and one last thing, three of my friends had to wait >50mins for their buffalo wings to arrive. we were all very patient
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Love Letter to Marin Brew I don’t usually write reviews, but Marin Brew deserves every word of this one. Every visit feels like a warm welcome home, and every sip and bite reminds me why this café has become such a special part of my routine. First—the Iced Shaken Hibiscus. I swear, this drink feels like sunshine in a cup. It’s refreshing without being too sweet, floral without being overwhelming, and honestly one of the most uplifting drinks I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for something that instantly brightens your day, this is it. Then there’s the Iced Sunset Brew. I can’t explain it any other way—it tastes like the golden hour. Smooth, balanced, and beautifully layered, it’s the kind of drink that makes you pause and appreciate the moment. I’ve recommended it to friends, and every single one of them has fallen in love with it too. And of course… the Kare Kare. My goodness. This dish is comfort, tradition, and craftsmanship all in one bowl. The sauce is rich and velvety, the meat tender, and the bagoong perfectly complements everything. It’s the kind of kare kare that makes you close your eyes after the first bite because it hits all the right notes. You can taste the care. To anyone who hasn’t tried Marin Brew yet—please do yourself a favor and go. And to those who already have, you know exactly what I’m talking about. This place isn’t just serving food and drinks; it’s serving experiences, memories, and moments of joy. Thank you, Marin Brew, for consistently giving us something to look forward to. Your team, your flavors, your heart—everything shines. I’m endlessly grateful.
