🛏️Rezidencia Faeldo
Famous forHilltop glamping villas with private dipping pools and an in-house farm cafe — Ilayang Pangi's agri-tourism stay, formerly Casa Emilia.
About this place
Rezidencia Faeldo started life as a family vacation home in Ilayang Pangi — the upland barangay of Gasan, where the breeze drops a few degrees compared to the coastal road below. It's grown into one of Marinduque's most complete glamping-and-cafe destinations, with private villas, dipping pools, and a working farm cafe. The property used to be known as Casa Emilia, which still comes up if you ask older locals.
What's on the Property
The stay options split into a few tiers. Two hilltop glamping villas with private dipping pools, view decks, swings, refrigerators, WiFi, unlimited coffee, and aircon — those are the signature units. Two ground villas come with hot-and-cold showers, aircon, and main-pool access. Poolside and ground cabanas handle day-tour (8 AM – 4 PM) or overnight (5 PM – 7 AM) bookings without a full villa commitment. The main swimming pool is open to all checked-in guests.
The Cafe Side
The in-house farm cafe is a destination on its own. Locals and travelers come up to Pangi specifically for the coffee and farm-to-table meals, even without booking a villa. The menu includes vegan dishes alongside the more standard Filipino spread, which is unusual for the area. The cozy atmosphere and good coffee get called out as the consistent reasons people keep coming back.
Where It Sits
Ilayang Pangi is the inland, slightly elevated half of Gasan — distinct from the Gasan Public Beach baywalk on the coast. It's best known to Marinduque locals for Pangi Butterfly Farm and the upland viewpoints toward the Tres Reyes Islands. The drive up from the Gasan town center is short, but the change in temperature and air is noticeable.
Worth Knowing
Most Marinduque resorts pick one lane — beachfront, in-town, or out-in-the-hills. Rezidencia Faeldo commits to the third. If you've already done Bellaroca and the white-sand beach loop, this is the different kind of stay worth keeping in mind. Book the hilltop glamping villa if budget allows — the private dipping pool and the view deck are the actual signature; the ground villas miss the upland experience.
Best Time to Visit
Book overnight on a weekday if you can — the hilltop glamping villas with their dipping pools feel completely different when there's no one else around. For day tours, late morning into early afternoon gets you the best light on the view deck. Avoid June through August storm season if you want the swing-and-coffee-on-the-deck experience without rain interruptions.
What to Bring
How to Get Here
From the Gasan town center (the public market or baywalk), take a tricycle up to Ilayang Pangi — about 10–15 minutes uphill. Drivers know "Pangi" and most know Rezidencia Faeldo by its old name "Casa Emilia," so either works. If you're driving private, the road is paved most of the way; the last stretch can be narrow. From Boac, take a van or jeepney to Gasan (about 30–40 minutes), then a tricycle up to Pangi. From the Cawit port (if coming via Gasan-Pinamalayan ferry), you're already close — a quick tricycle ride inland gets you there.
Local routes, fares, and ferry schedules can shift without notice — and travel times depend on weather, traffic, and tide. Confirm fares and timing with the driver or locals before you set out.
