About this place

Cuisina Indiano is a small Indian takeaway on Molave Street in the Market Site of Mogpog, right beside the public market — and it's one of the only places in all of Marinduque where you can get proper North Indian food. The kitchen has been going since 2020, quietly building a loyal following on slow-cooked biryani, butter chicken, and Indian street snacks like samosas and pani puri. Their Facebook page sits at a 100% recommend rating from early customers.

This is a takeaway-and-delivery operation rather than a sit-down restaurant. You order, they box it up fresh, and you take it home or have it delivered — they also do curbside pickup. On a small island where the dining usually leans toward Filipino home-cooking and grilled seafood, an actual Indian kitchen run with this much care is a genuine find.

What's on the Menu

The heart of the menu is the chicken board. Butter Chicken comes with two pieces of roti and a vegetable salad. Biryani is the signature — order the Chicken Biryani Solo (one piece of chicken, served with curry sauce and yogurt) or the Duo (two pieces). Chicken Curry arrives with roti or chapati; Pepper Chicken Masala is served over cumin rice; and the Chilli Chicken — spicy, tender chicken over basmati — is for the heat-seekers. Add-ons round it out: plain or jeera biryani rice, extra masala sauce, yogurt dip, and roti/chapati. The bio also points to samosas and pani puri on the street-food side.

Expect mains in roughly the ₱150–240 range. The kitchen announced a small price adjustment in 2026 on the back of rising ingredient costs, so treat any prices you see online as a guide and confirm the current ones when you order.

How It Works

Hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM — closed on Sundays. Because everything is cooked fresh and the biryani in particular is slow-cooked, it's worth messaging them on Facebook or calling ahead, especially for larger orders or if you're driving in from another town. You can reach them on 0906 442 0338 or 0961 566 8105, or message the Cuisina Indiano page directly.

Getting There

The kitchen is on Molave Street in the Market Site of Mogpog, beside the Mogpog Public Market — an easy tricycle ride from anywhere in Mogpog, or a short jeepney-and-tricycle hop if you're coming from Boac.
