Motorcycle Route

The Island Loop

The definitive Marinduque road trip. Start in Boac, ride clockwise through all six municipalities, keep every stop reachable by road, and treat each stop as a short break. Boat-only places like Tres Reyes Islands, Maniwaya, and Palad Sandbar belong on separate boat days, not on this loop.

  • Rent a motorcycle in Boac (around ₱400–600/day)

  • Fill up gas in Boac or Santa Cruz — stations are sparser on the south/east side
  • Do not add sandbars or island stops unless you are turning this into a separate boat day
Camping Guide

Camping-Friendly Bases

Conservative camping picks only: places with explicit tent camping, glamping, or a known overnight/jump-off setup. Do not camp on bridges, ports, or sandbars. Palad Sandbar is a low-tide day stop, not a campsite.

  • Confirm permission with the property, barangay, or tourism office before pitching a tent

Beach Trail

Mainland Beach Trail

A road-access beach day for people who want the coast without turning the route into a boat transfer. Stay on the mainland: Boac beaches first, use coastal view stops where a town has no public beach row, and finish at Poctoy if you have the time.

Dining Route

Boac-to-Gasan Food Trail

A practical food route should not stack three meals in a row or jump across the island for one snack. This version keeps the day on the west side: Boac for heritage-town food, then Gasan for market and coastal eating if you have a vehicle.

📍Distance:Boac to Gasan
🚩Start:Boac Market

Optional coffee break if you are still in Boac

    Gasan Public Market4:00 PM

Vehicle-only extension; market stop before sunset

  5. 5
    Pinggan Karinderya5:30 PM

Simple Gasan dinner without detouring to another municipality

Local tips
  • Do not schedule food stops back-to-back; leave walking or sightseeing time between meals
  • Bring cash — most places are cash only
  • If you do not have a vehicle, keep this as a Boac-only food day
